chickadees tame up quickly. My son when he was in the U.P. of MI put sunflower seeds on the bill of his ballcap and could see the little feet as they came, grabbed a seed and left. Give it a try. They are not afraid.
Wow! We have a chickadee couple nesting in a birdhouse on our deck. How long did you know that chickadee before he became so comfortable with you? I’ve been afraid to even go out on the deck for fear of scaring ours!
