Check with imigration whether it’s allowed at all, quite possibly you’re not allowed to import food into Canada without a special permit.
Your fishing guide or trip organiser should be able to get you into contact with companies specialising in the long distance shipping of your catch, they no doubt get that question regularly.
Do prepare for a rather costly deal though, it won’t come cheap.
i have shipped fish to and from the US several times. the airlines have Styrofoam coolers that fit into boxes and go with your luggage. the price for the cooler will vary depending on the airline and there will be a fee. have your fish frozen and they will arrive at home in perfect shape. do not secure it with tape before it goes through customs or they will make a mess of the box when they check it.
i shipped coho, halibut, and crab to California in August from the Queen Charlotte Islands with no issues. just call the airline and they will hook you up.
have a great trip and best of luck fishing.
