I am 13 and I turn fourteen in a couple of months and I am wondering if I am old enough to drive power carts. In canada not the us.
Thank you to anubody who answered I went to the course and they let me drive one anayway.
Golf carts aren’t allowed on roads and can only be driven on private propery – there are no laws, just rules the golf courses choose on their own. I think 16 is a common minimum though.
it up to the owners of the golf course
I’m pretty sure you have to have a drivers license anywhere.
18.
Even with no license.
18.
Sometimes they let you at ages under even 16.
But, 18.
As you found out they let you drive. It’s really up to the course management. Some courses will let you when you are young (13) and others will make you wait until you are an adult. Why the difference? Often it depends on how the other “kids” drove the carts. If you were responsible (and all the other kids) they will keep letting you drive. If someone goes out and plays bumper cars or drives them where they shouldn’t then the course will clamp down on kids driving. It’s great they let you drive. Be responsible so they continue letting you use the carts. I’m 49 years old and I can remember being 9-10 and getting to drive the cars. What a great time!
