My family and I have some home videos of our vacation to Canada and wants to watch it. How would you play it on a toshiba laptop? It seems that I can’t get it to play. I have a dvd-rom drive and I just got this computer a week ago so it is very new and very up-to-date. How would I play those small DVD-RW?

You need to have a DVD software that acts as a codec…e.g Cyberlink Power DVD or any other. Usually if your laptop comes with a DVD Drive this software should be included in the computer by the manufacturer.

Or else, you may have stored the videos as ‘files’ on the DVD which prevents it from opening directly and automatically on the computer when the DVD is inserted. You should then isert the DVD , double click on the CD/DVD drive icon in ‘My Computer’(or its equivalent if you don’t use windows) and then open the video files from there.
