my family has had a cabin on Five Mile Lake right out side of Chapleau for 40 years, but I’m only 21… I’m from Michigan but my family is from Ontario, I’ll be up there in two weeks I can’t wait. I love coming up here every year!!!…..so beautiful and relaxing.

Great Video! I saw the video before I went to Chapleau and went anyway. I am glad I did; it is well worth the modest detour. Well, maybe not ‘modest’ it is about 150 miles from anywhere else. There are few places in the world that have just one road in and out like this one. The natural beauty of the environs is a real asset.

The Town where my brother lived and Died.
I was born in Chapleau but moved away when I was about 12. Havent been there in about 5 years, damn. I have to go back sometime.
Have always enjoyed our family vacations to Chapleau. Last year got a tour of the fire dept. hoping to make it up in 08 to see the new pumper.
