In 2003, Lightening ignited a fire that was devasting to Kelowna. The night my children & I were evacuated, there were fist-sized chunks of warm charred trees landing in our yard and stepping outside, we could feel the heat from the fire. Frightening! The RCMP came screaming up our driveway yelling for us to get out! Our home did not burn.
